FAQ

Thank you for your interest in the 20th International Congress of Neuropathology!
The congress will have a hybrid format. This means the ICN 2023 will be held at the congress venue, presentations will be given in-person and almost all presentations will be livestreamed to the digital congress platform. Participants can choose whether they want to participate in-person or online.

Please note that there are parts of the program that will not be streamed via the platform (e. g. Education Day, EVEREST Pre-Congress Symposium, social program, ePoster sessions) and that the congress will take place live in Berlin - therefore according to the Central European Summer Time (CEST). Once you have decided in which form you want to participate, you can register here.

Below you will find some important information and FAQs on digital participation!

Attention

The access data for the digital participation in the ICN 2023 will be sent out on 12th September at 12:00 (CEST).

  • Make sure before beginning of the conference that the audio and video quality of your PC/laptop is sufficient
  • Check if you've installed the latest version of your browser
  • We do not recommend using Internet Explorer for connecting to the conference and remind you not to have too many tabs open in your browser

To ensure a smooth (technical) course of events during the ICN2023 congress, should you plan to participate via a work device (PC, laptop) over a company network (e.g. clinic, firm) or if you're using a rented device, please arrange with your IT department prior to the congress to confirm the following:

European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education

The 20th International Congress of Neuropathology (ICN 2023), Berlin, Germany, 13/09/2023-16/09/2023 has been accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®) with 22 European CME credits (ECMEC®s). Each medical specialist should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.

Through an agreement between the Union Européenne des Médecins Spécialistes and the American Medical Association, physicians may convert EACCME® credits to an equivalent number of AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Information on the process to convert EACCME® credit to AMA credit can be found at www.ama-assn.org/education/earn-credit-participation-international-activities.

Live educational activities, occurring outside of Canada, recognised by the UEMS-EACCME® for ECMEC®s are deemed to be Accredited Group Learning Activities (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

Please be reminded that viewing on-demand content and materials will not be part of the certification.

Please make sure your email address is correct and indicate in your profile which certification you require. Certificates of attendance will be generated after the congress according to the information in your profile and sent separately by e-mail.

The program can be found in our digital program booklet (will be published at a later date) and in the program overview. It will also include most important information regarding the congress. You will be able download it at any time as PDF and print out if needed. Additionally there will also be an abstract volume available to you.

The industrial exhibition will only be on site in Berlin. You are welcome to find out more about our exhibitors and sponsors.
